Founded in 1997, Whistlebrook has established a solid reputation for the delivery of software development projects to major UK blue chip companies.

Our history

Whistlebrook has specialised in providing innovative, back office, software systems to the financial services sector since 1997. In that time, we have become a long-established and trusted supplier to the sector, with an ever-growing number of customers using our software. In the process, we have built up a very successful portfolio of software applications that can each be installed on their own, or as an integrated suite of two or more applications that can deliver extra benefits by sharing information.

Our customers range from investment management firms, through banks of varying size, to two of the three largest building societies.

Whistlebrook’s highly functional software can provide solutions for operational problems, insightful performance enhancement and financial analysis, leading to improved efficiency and profitability.

Whistlebrook develops all of its own software, in the UK, with major input from our customers. As a result our applications are specifically built for the financial services sector with tailored functionality, which really helps our customers to run their business more efficiently. It also means that we regularly enhance our software and introduce new applications following customer suggestions, our own on- going analysis, or regulatory changes

DAVID WEBBER, CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

David joined Whistlebrook in 2017 as CEO, with responsibility of developing Whistlebrook’s industry partnerships, broadening and deepening their market penetration and progressing with back office product investment.

David brings with him over 20 years hands on experience of the financial services software industry and a wealth of experience in CEO and Managing Director roles.

David spent the previous five years as Managing Director of Intelligent Environments, responsible for the day-to-day running of the company, working cohesively with all divisions to effectively determine and define the organsiation’s overall strategy, strategic partnerships and global sales and marketing activities. David will continue as a Board Advisor for Intelligent Environments.

Prior to this David was CEO at Patsystems Group where he led a diverse team across 7 global offices, overseeing and achieving significant growth across all markets. Before this he spent 8 years as the CEO and Managing Director of retail financial systems provider, AttentiV where he led the business through a MBO, flotation and subsequent disposal to TietoEnator. The business was subsequently acquired by Sopra and now forms the Sopra Steria UK banking business.

ANDY HUDDERS, DIRECTOR

Andy is a very experienced IT professional with over 25 years in the IT industry.

Having joined Whistlebrook not long after it started in 1999, Andy has played a key part in the phenomenal growth and success achieved. His primary responsibility is to ensure continued sales growth both for new and existing customers, operational planning and leading sales teams to achieve all business objectives and sales targets. With a strong background in delivery, Andy has a strong focus on customer satisfaction; enjoying building and establishing key relationships and ensuring delivery and service exceeds expectations.

Andy brought with him a wealth of senior management, leadership and sales expertise having gained valuable experience at multiple blue chip IT/ Software companies, including IBM (13 years), Xerox Ltd and PROIV Limited.

Throughout his career, Andy has excelled at leading teams; at IBM managing a team of 180, devising and delivering business, sales and marketing strategies and achieving exceptional sales growth within both the UK and European markets.

Andy originally qualified as a Civil Engineer and worked in the construction industry for 2 years before moving into the IT industry.

JEF CAWDELL, DIRECTOR

Jef is very experienced in his field and, having joined in 2001, has a vast and exceptional knowledge of Whistlebrook and its products. Jef benefits from having had experience in delivery and product development, combined with customer focused, business development roles; ideally placing him as Director in January 2014.

With a true passion for learning, Jef has enjoyed a varied career to date. He trained with a number of Finance and Accountancy Firms before moving into a Finance Management role in industry. This was followed by 5 years at Stokvis Tapes where he changed direction into IT and hence led him to a long career with Whistlebrook; experiencing Software Implementation, Consultancy, CRM and finally Directorship.

Jef’s specialties include business intelligence, financial planning and modeling, accounting software and project management to name but a few.

As Director, his role remains to be multi faceted. Jef spent the first 18 months overseeing the organisation’s operations, whilst today his focus is on Sales and Marketing utilising his experience in product development, sales and account management while also defining and overseeing the companies overall marketing strategy.
